As we continue Public Works Week enjoying the convenience of running water, paved roads, and reliable electricity, we are taking a moment to appreciate the unsung heroes who make it all possible! Thank you Public Works!

The Oregon City Engineering & Ops Center, circa 2021, was a major remodel of an existing beverage distribution center to City Operations Center and Maintenance Facility. The project included adding a second floor within an existing concrete tilt-up warehouse, upgrades to the lateral force resisting systems for Structural Risk Category IV wind and seismic loads, and a new two-story addition on the north side of the tilt-up concrete warehouse.

Winner of the 2022 APWA Public Works Project of the Year, the OC Engineering & Ops Center is yet another great example of what’s possible when talented teams come together.

We are proud to have collaborated with our friends at Scott Edwards Architecture on this remarkable project. Their ability to recognize the untapped potential of the site’s existing building was truly impressive.
