HomePlate Youth Services
Project Description
WDY provided both structural and civil engineering services for the remodel of HomePlate Youth Services’ new headquarters in Old Town Beaverton. Structural upgrades included a new elevator pit and rail supports, lateral building revisions for the modification of building walls, to open a new first floor kitchen, and structural support for a new second story stair access, with intermediate landing.
Onsite civil services included grading for an exterior courtyard, ADA parking stall, building access, and revision of the building water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. Offsite civil services included public works documents for both 3rd and Angel streets, with a new ADA corner ramp.
HomePlate Youth Services is a nonprofit provider of drop-in centers and street outreach for young people who are homeless or experiencing housing instability. Their mission is to uplift and empower young people through community building, education, and access to services and resources.
